What are ATOs?
Authorised Training Organisations (ATOs) are third-party organisations which are approved by the VATSIM Pilot Training Department to deliver training toward VATSIM Pilot Ratings.

The PTD Training Standards Department provides oversight, guidance and regulation for all ATOs under the regulations laid down in the VATSIM.net Code of Regulations §2.03 and PTD 1000.

ATOs may be approved to carry out training toward the issue of VATSIM PPL (P1), Instrument Rating (P2), Commercial Multi Engine (P3) or ATPL (P4) ratings. In addition, ATOs may gain approval to offer training for the VATSIM Flight Instructor (P5) rating.
