Introduction to Pilot Ratings

There are four main pilot ratings available to VATSIM pilots: the Private Pilot Licence (P1), Instrument Rating (P2), Commercial Multi-Engine Licence (P3) and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (P4). There are also ratings for Flight Instructors (P5) and Flight Examiners (P6).

Holding a pilot rating demonstrates that a member has achieved a recognised standard of knowledge, skill and competency as defined in the Member Certification Standards for each rating.
